Summer sweatshirts

For chilly summer evenings (if we get summer) I have light sweatshirts with a bright summer flower design on the front. My favorite is the yellow sweatshirt with a big sunflower on it.

Not sure if vacuum cleaners fit into a boutique/book store but a good product is a good product. While in Chicago this past Jan. buying wonderful gift items for the store my friend Shirley and I came across an Oreck dealer. I have an 8 lb. Oreck vacuum cleaner that I love. We tried out a little sweeper which picked up all manner of stuff and thought we want one of these for our homes when we don't want to get out the vacuum cleaner. "Emily at the Zoo",  Michelle Klecker "A Patient Leaf",  Eileen Ziesler and Janelle Thompson author and illustrator of "Toads",  Dan Van Tassel "Back to Barron", Nancy Bjornson author of the children's series  "Cash and Jesse" and I went to the Chetek and Bloomer schools to give the children an opportunity to visit with the author and hear her read from her exciting books.

I thank all these authors for coming to my shop in Chetek.

Author- Monica Holtz

I am so excited to tell you that author Monica Holtz will be at Annz Boutique & Books Sat. Dec. 19.  Monica is the author of "Emily Goes to the Park" a book about a child's experiences at the zoo at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, Wi.  Monica will be dressed in holiday attire and will read her book and others.  I too hope to read one of my favorite Christmas  stories.  

Monica will be at Annz from 11:00-2:00.  Please come and join us for this special Christmas presentation.

Midwest Booksellers Convention

Recently attended the Midwest Booksellers Convention held in St. Paul.  I was fortunate to meet with several authors and have them sign their books.  Looking for a special book to read you are sure to find it here and if not I can order and have it shipped to  you.

Lots of great books coming out this fall.  Some of my favorites are Prairie Home Companion Pretty Good Joke Book for the jokester in your family.  for the children "A Farm Country Halloween" by Gordon Fredrikson and for those who have been waiting for a new adventure for  Carl the Dog comes  "Carl's Snowy Afternoon" by Alexandra Day. 

 I discovered  author best known for her series of Betsy-Tacy books.  the books are "historical fiction" based on the author's childhood memories.   And a new one by Warren Hanson  "Everything Happens for a Reason" is a must for everyone.
